The Crescent City – New Orleans

New Orleans definitely has some of the most historic contributions to the USA, with the rise of Baseball, The Civil War, and who could ever forget, the beginning of Jazz music itself. 

Now, some of you may wonder, what else is New Orleans known for? Well, one of the many things that make New Orleans such a unique city, is the distinctive French architecture with their French Culture. Along with delicious food, soothing music and multicultural events such as Mardi Gras festival, there is no place more interesting to be in the United States. And yet the city has so much more to offer, and here are some of them.

The first thing you want to do when you get to the Crescent City, is try the variety of dishes they have to offer. With culture coming from all around the globe, your taste buds are in for quite a treat. Eating dishes such as Gumbo or Jambalaya can definitely keep your belly full and happy. And to fully experience that New Orleans for your mouth, trying their oysters is a world renowned taste that is sure to get you craving for more. 

But food isn’t the only thing The Big Easy has to make your stay worthwhile. If you’re looking to quench your thirst for adventure, you can always go around the historic park that is Jackson Square. There you’ll be greeted by the statue of General Andrew Jackson, truly a remarkable landmark to commemorate the price that the United States had to pay in order to acquire the state of Louisiana. 

However, if you prefer to walk around and just chill during the night, then one of the busiest and most beautiful streets is in New Orleans for you to enjoy. The Frenchmen Street is much like a musical broadway for free and for everyone to enjoy. With live performances everywhere, giving you that feeling of being in a foreign European land where everyone is just happily enjoying themselves on some drinks and good music. Here you will see the vibrancy that the French had brought and left in the Crescent City.
